Waiting in Limbo
Acrylic on Canvas. 36 x 48 inches.
This large painting brings me right back to my childhood on the prairies in Canada. After a very warm summer day, the thunderheads would roll in from the horizon. The cloud would roll, slowly and quietly towards us. In the distance, you could smell the rain, and you welcomed a break from the heat. Oh those summer blue skies were replaced by all the shades of storm gray. The air was electric, and the little kids would sit on front steps watching the lightening begin long before the warm showers. Thunder rolled through the small-town neighborhood amids the cheers from excited children. Those were such great memories.
