Can you imagine if you looked up one night and the moon had turned pink? I don’t mean the giant orange moon that rests on the horizon from time to time, we’ve all seen that one before and we’re familiar with it. No, I mean a high full moon shining merrily upon the earth that had turned a lovely, pretty pink.
Astronomers would panic, astrologers would predict a new future but would really have no idea, adults would worry, and children would wonder. What does it mean? It’s so beautiful, it must mean something good.
Maybe it means the end to fighting and war. Maybe it means everyone will get along now. See, the neighbours are coming out to look at it and marvel with each other about how this could be. They are not complaining about the barking dog, or the grass that’s too long, or who has to pay to fix the fence, but smilingly pointing up and gently shaking their heads in surprise. This must be the miracle of the pink moon.
