Flow of a Goddess

About 20 years ago, I landed on Hawaii’s Big Island for the first time and decided to stop by the Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. That is where I was introduced to Pele, the Hawaiian volcano goddess, believed to be the creator of the land. After a bike ride through the park, I left with a bag containing a book about her, fascinated by her legends. But don’t worry, I left the volcano rocks where they belonged as the legend says that bad luck will be brought upon whoever will leave with a piece of her creation.

Whether it was through architecture, music, dance, paintings or photography, art has always caught my eye and triggered all kind of emotions. Whether it was by making me happy, at peace, comfort me on a sad day or give me strength when I needed it the most.

My acrylic pouring journey started back in November 2019 after my beautiful mother took a pouring class and with contagious enthusiasm, decided to introduce me to this newly discovered passion of hers. At first, I didn’t really like it but once I let go of my own barriers, magic started to happen. She showed me how to do the swipe technique and that’s when I fell in love!

All of the beautiful cells that would develop brought in me a sense of tranquility, movement and exhilaration! It is said that circles tend to send a positive emotional message of harmony and protection. They also represent unity, commitment, love and community. It all resonated with me and I knew from that moment that this is what I wanted to do.

I love unleashing my creativity using bright colors to bring to life the visions I have in my mind. From avocados to abstract beaches to cactuses, nothing is off limits! I hope my paintings bring you as much joy and excitement as they did to me!
