I am a Maple Ridge watercolour and acrylic artist. Growing up my mom was an artist and was a great support when I first began pursuing my art seriously.
Several years ago I started to also work in acrylics, which I do find challenging at times. I work primarily from my photographs, using a limited palette. My goal is to create colour harmony in my artwork and draw the viewer into my paintings. I want to capture a moment in time; to tell a story with my paintings.
Currently, I am a member of the Garibaldi Art Club and the Federation of Canadian Artists. I have participated in many juried and group shows and have won several awards for my artwork. I am an instructor at The ACT in Maple Ridge. There I give demonstrations and workshops for various art groups, and teach both watercolour and acrylic techniques at my home studio.
