About this painting – Barkerville is one of my favorite places to visit when I visit the Cariboo Region of BC. During one of my visits I was lucky enough to spot a fox scurrying around the buildings and boardwalks looking for food. I followed him with my camera through the historic town until he disappeared into the nearby forest. These animals are frequent visitors to the park. It saddened me to learn that some visitors forget that they are wild animals, and feeding them has led to the occasional visitor getting bitten, which sadly leads to this beautiful creature getting put down. Please always remember to keep your distance from any wildlife and respect their boundaries.
