Returns & Exchanges

We are here to make sure you have a great experience browsing and buying artwork. Your feedback and questions are extremely valuable to us, and we love to hear from you.

Before you purchase your artwork, please measure your wall to be sure the piece you are ordering would be a good fit for the space. We want everyone who buys a piece of art to be completely satisfied and to be able to make a purchase without worry. If you ever have any questions or concerns about a piece, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re more than happy to set up a Zoom call with the artist so you can get as close to seeing the piece in person as possible. Your satisfaction is super important to us, and we want you to feel confident about your choice.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of the artwork that appear on this website. However, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display will accurately reflect the colour and tone of the real thing. We can only do what technology will allow.

Original artwork and prints will be packaged and shipped to you within three to five business days after you’ve made your purchase. You’ll receive a tracking number for your shipment to inform you when your painting will arrive.


In most cases, your order will be delivered by Canada Post. If there is no one available to accept delivery when the courier arrives, they may leave it at your door or if the artist indicates a signature is required, the courier will leave a notice with instructions to pick up. In cases where the courier deems it to be unsafe to leave the package, they will leave a notice with further instructions on how to retrieve your package (Canada Post will store your package at their nearest outlet for up to 7 days).

If you have not picked up your artwork in the 7 days that Canada Post holds it and sends it back, you will be required to pay for postage to have it delivered to you once more.

When you receive your delivery, please unpack carefully, and retain all packaging until you have decided that you are happy with your purchase.

What if you receive your art and it’s not quite right for you after all?

From the time you receive your original artwork, you have seven (7) days to decide whether to keep the work or return the artwork At that time, if you want to return the artwork, you must contact us at info@thearthivecollective.com. Please let us know the reason of the return and we will send you a prepaid shipping label.

You may return the artwork in its original condition for a refund within 7 days of receipt.  A refund for the price of the product minus shipping costs will be processed when the artist receives the artwork undamaged.

We also require all returned artwork to be shipped out by the buyer within three (3) days after confirming with us that the work will be returned. So, if you receive artwork you’ve purchased from The Art Hive Collective and are not fully satisfied, you have:

Seven (7) days to contact us about your intent to return the work.

Three (3) days from the day you contacted us to ship out the artwork.

***Do not ship the artwork before contacting us.***

Shipping charges will not be refunded. The cost of the shipping label will be deducted from your refund amount.

If you do not notify us of your intent to return the work within 7 days of receipt or ship the work within 3 days of notifying us, you will NOT be eligible for a refund. (Some exceptions will apply. Please contact us for an assessment of your specific situation.)

How to Return Artwork

Step 1 – Within seven (7) days of your merchandise delivery date, please contact our email support at info@thearthivecollective.com, give us your order information and the reason for wanting to return the work.

Step 2 – Repackage the artwork using the original packaging materials. If you’ve already disposed of the original packaging, you’ll be responsible for purchasing similar acid free packaging materials to send the artwork back safely and securely to the artist. Please contact AHC for advice if needed.

Step 3 – Email info@thearthivecollective.com to complete the return process. If you need the artist’s address, please let us know so we can get that to you immediately.

Once the piece safely reaches the artist, The Art Hive Collective will process your return (minus shipping costs and international customs fees, if any) and the amount owed will be refunded to your original source of payment in the same currency.

Damaged returned artwork caused by improper packaging will not be refunded.

What to Do If the Artwork Arrives Damaged

Step 1 – Immediately, please email info@thearthivecollective.com to give us your order information.

Step 2 – Save original packaging! You will use this to send it back to the Artist.

Step 3 – Take photos of damaged artwork and packaging. Please email these photos to info@thearthivecollective.com

Step 4 – The Art Hive Collective will contact you to discuss next steps.

We aim for your experience with The Art Hive Collective to be as smooth as possible.


Products from our Partners

Unless noted otherwise, all partner works are final sale and non-refundable. Refundable works are subject to partner conditions. Because the products are printed on a case-by-case basis, the company does not refund any orders.
