Elena Marin

Lower Mainland based Artist, Elena Marin, is constantly honing her skills in art and has for many years. More recently, she is experimenting with mixed media, acrylic on paper, wood and canvas.

Elena blends her training and experience  as an architect, of more than 30 years, with her passion for art.

Elena’s evolution into an artist, has allowed her to experiment with different materials and techniques. More importantly, to get out of her comfort zone. Therefore, express ideas of movement, fluidity, contrast, connection, direction, depth, using realistic and abstract forms, thick, thin, straight and curved lines, bold textures  and vibrant colours to represent her personal interpretation of people, cities, mountains and water.

Her use of cities, mountains and underwater environments as a reference for her paintings, allows Elena to challenge the boundaries of how we see the world.
